About Counselling

As M Scott Peck once said, life is difficult - to earn the beautiful things we must work hard.

Some get to work at a job they love but even then there will be times of struggle, times when we need support.

You don't have to have mental health issues, a diagnosis or some known condition to make use of counselling, just a desire to talk things through and get some clarity.

You might be changing jobs and feeling anxious, you may face leaving a partner or another loss, very often there is no specific problem, just a sense that it's all too much right now.

The support you need

Eclipse Therapy counselling provides a place in which you can say anything without being judged. You may be worried about upsetting or burdening friends, or feel too close to loved ones to talk about certain things. A counsellor can hear you and accept you no matter what you are struggling with.

I am trained in a number of approaches and work in a person-centred way. This means that I can shape my approach to suit you. You are always the guide, you decide what we talk about and what you need. I will listen as you talk and try to see patterns you may not notice, or ask questions, but I don't tell you what to think or do. There is no right or wrong, no pass or fail. I simply offer a helping hand while you look inside yourself to find the right way forward.

If you'd like an initial talk, just to see if counselling might help or if I'm the right counsellor for you, you can get in touch.
